Nightlife

The nightlife of Athens is pluralistic, offering many choices to its inhabitants and guests. There are many bars, restaurants and cafe (usually the combination of all three), especially in the areas of Psyrri (perhaps the best choice), Plaka (the old city), Gazi (mostly mainstream), Exarchia (alternative as anarchist hub), Kolonaki (the posh area), and generally the areas around the squares of Monastiraki, Syntagma and Agia Irini.

All above are areas with numerous places to enjoy and all of them within walking distance from our apartments!

There also great seaside options in Glyfada, Marina Flisvos, Mikrolimano Marina Zeas, as well as other options like in Chalandri, Kifissia, Nea Smyrni and Peristeri, most of them with a metro easy access from our apartments.

Wherever you decide to go, don’t skip to taste cocktails that contain greek ingredients, such as mastic, as I mentioned in the page with Hints and Tips, and definitely the large variety of wonderful greek wines.

Keep in mind that almost all public transport doesn’t work after midnight.
